Funerals

I create and conduct funeral services within a 50 mile radius of Leeds, West Yorkshire.

(I am also able to travel further afield with travel costs being negotiated).

As an Independent Funeral Celebrant I will create and conduct a ceremony to honour the person who has died.

I officiate at non-religious funerals and at funerals for those who still want an element of religion such as including hymns and prayers in the service.

I officiate at cremations, burials including woodland burials, memorial services and the scattering of ashes.

If you are facing the end of life and wish to make your own funeral arrangements I can help with that and together we will create your own service. Equally if you just want to plan ahead this too can be arranged.

People have their own ideas about religion and death and for some people a religious funeral service is not always appropriate.

My services are independent of humanist and religious organisations. A civil ceremony provides the opportunity for you to build a service that is not only in accordance with the beliefs and wishes of the person who has died, but also to create a service that will bring comfort to family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony is an important beginning to the healing process – you want to acknowledge your deep sadness at the loss of your loved one; but also you want to celebrate their life amongst you.

My ceremonies are dignified and respectful, yet they are uplifting and positive, they focus on life and not death.

When you have to say goodbye for the very last time you want to be comforted by the fact that this service will be a fitting tribute, putting the focus on all that made your loved one unique and special. This is the time to tell their life stories; stories about ordinary people with extraordinary stories to tell.
